Styling Manager

Job Description:

The Styling Manager will be responsible for executing seasonal outfitting, trend focuses and product stories for the Gymboree brand across all photoshoots, including editorial, e-commerce and seasonal campaigns. This role will partners with Director of Styling, Gymboree GM and Gymboree Concept Director to develop collection look and feel, identifying seasonal photoshoot key looks.


  • Attends all photo shoot creative meetings, including all cross-functional meetings for shoot alignment, prep and recaps.
  • Owns all look builds for Gymboree photoshoots, including creation of photo shoot outfits documents and recaps.
  • Partners with Gymboree Concept Director, Merchants and Gymboree Creative Director to develop photo shoot outline and guide for outfitting build.
  • Attends and manages all Gymboree shoots, including location and WEB.
  • Partners with e-commerce and merchant teams on website key looks and laydowns, providing direction and approvals. .
  • Oversees Gymboree WEB Creative Laydowns, attending shoots, providing creative direction and managing freelance teams.
  • Leads In Store styling, working with visual team to pull outfitting and style forms, windows, and other marketing form needs
  • Partner with Social Team to create weekly laydowns and content across all brands, including laydowns and GIFs.
  • Partners with Styling Coordinator, ensuring all sample management and calendars are up to date and communication with teams is timely and effective. This includes: prepping all sample handoffs across all brands, communicating with merchants/coordinators on sample status, management of Styling footwear/apparel and its organization, shipment and receipt of photo shoot samples and retouching swatch books.
  • Assists Director of Styling in other brand needs as calendar permits, including photoshoot builds, location photoshoots, WEB laydown photoshoots, document building and other ad hoc requests.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required with a minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on styling experience
  • Must have on location photo shoot experience and be able to run a production team
  • Possess strong creative and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, coupled with strong organizational skills
  • Have the ability to follow projects/tasks to completion, innovate processes, and think outside the box
  • MAC skills required, proficient in ADOBE programs, specifically InDesign
  • Must enjoy working with children and in a fast paced, dynamic environment
