We are looking for a positive, motivated individual to support our Revenue Accounting team. This role is responsible for partnering closely with the business and systems teams to ensure that business transactions activity is appropriately captured and accounted for in our financial statements. The position will require collaboration with cross-functional business partners such as IT, Marketing, FP&A, and Customer Service. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work independently, juggle multiple tasks, and adapt quickly to changing work environments/priorities and tight deadlines. This individual will report directly to the Revenue Accounting Manager.


  • Prepare month-end journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations related to key areas such as credit cards, loyalty & rewards, Gymbucks, gift cards, and our co-branded credit card program.
  • Assist in driving the implementation of the new Revenue Recognition Accounting guidance effective for the Company in FY 2019.
  • Manage/review off-shore resources whose activities include reconciliation and resolution of customer-facing issues (e.g. double charges, chargebacks, etc.).
  • Partner with the IT and business teams to drive the Company’s systems implementation initiatives, including user acceptance testing and documentation of new processes/procedures.
  • Assist with investigating variances between actual results and forecasts and assist in the budgeting process as needed.
  • Continuously improve business processes, systems, and enhance documentation and controls as part of our SOX compliance efforts.
  • Provide support for our quarterly internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and ensuring internal controls are operating effectively in areas of responsibility.
  • Perform special requests for revenue and sales-related analysis and reporting.
  • Perform and/or assist in special ad hoc projects, as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience.
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/candidate is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong team player, analytical, and organizational skills are also a must.
  • Ability to navigate between multiple software/applications.
  • Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Experience with an enterprise financial system required with R12 Oracle Financials preferred.
  • Trintech ReconNet or comparable Account Reconciliation Tool experience is a plus.
  • Retail industry experience is a plus.
