The Social Media Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing social and digital influencer marketing programs for Gymboree's family of brands: Gymboree, Crazy 8, and Janie and Jack. The ideal candidate should be an avid user of social media, have previous experience turning fans into brand ambassadors, and identifying and working with digital influencers. The Coordinator will report to the Marketing Manager, Social Media and Digital Influencers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Marketing Manager with developing, executing and managing social media marketing campaigns across social channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube.
  • Support marketing strategy, content creation, multichannel social strategy, crises communication, analytics, customer service, influencer outreach and more.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, customer service, merchandising, integrated marketing and PR teams.
  • Foster relationships with digital influencers to activate in support of larger social media marketing strategies and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Advocate for social media integration into all customer touch points, both online and offline.
  • Analyze effectiveness of social media marketing strategies and provide recommendations on how to continuously improve.
  • Benchmark and research competitor and industry leaders in social media. Have a constant eye on social media trends.

Job Requirements

  • BA or BS required (Marketing, Business, Communications, English, or related field a plus)
  • 1-2 years' experience executing marketing programs in a dynamic, fast-paced environment required
  • 1-2 years hands-on experience in assisting with social media marketing campaigns, with a proven track record required
  • Web analytics/social listening knowledge and experience in pulling reporting, measuring campaign performance and analyzing metrics to support overall social strategy
  • Experience in executing campaigns and utilizing multiple social platforms to build awareness, engage new and existing customers and increase conversion via site, store and other potential points of purchase
  • Excellent communication, writing, project management, presentation, cross-functional collaboration and relationship building skills are critical
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to quickly write thoughtful/on brand posts tailored to the medium
  • Keen understanding of our customer and brands
  • Proactive; problem solver
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel
