What You’ll Do
The Senior Financial Analyst is a member of the financial planning and analysis team and plays a key role in supporting various functional areas. The position involves establishing and maintaining working relationships with corporate business partners and to support management with ad-hoc analysis. The role includes planning system administration and report writing as well as the design and preparation of executive level packages and presentations. An understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts is required. Responsibilities include understanding business drivers to explain variances in the financial statements. Experience in forecasting cash flow and preparing financial models is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with business partners and to support management with ad-hoc analysis
  • Oversee monthly forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for select store expenses as well as some corporate overheads
  • Develop and maintenance of store labor models to plan and forecast requirements and costs
  • Analyze labor allocation to identify issues and optimize productivity. This is an important aspect of the role and a significant challenge that includes devising and testing various strategies to improve performance

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; MBA is a plus. 4-6 years of applicable work experience, preferably within retail finance, financial reporting or business systems is desired
  • Super-user experience with planning systems along with the attention to detail required to maintain system integrity.
  • Expertise with Excel and experience with PowerPoint is required.
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to present to senior management and the ability to multi-task well are key.
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently as well as look for opportunities to improve existing processes.
