What You’ll Do

In this role, you will focus on accounting for capital assets, leases, and prepaid assets. Over time the role will expand to include other areas within the general accounting umbrella, including researching technical accounting issues. The role will work under the guidance of a General Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monthly journal entries preparation and resolving items in account reconciliations.
  • Review monthly schedules, including Roll forward, Sub-ledger, Capital Expenditure and Cash Flow reports, and reconcile related reports.
  • Perform quarterly fluctuation analysis
  • Be a critical role for the new Lease Accounting Standards implementation.
  • Prepare trend analysis on general accounting accruals as required.
  • Perform annual procedures to maintain lease schedules and for disclosures in SEC Form-10K.
  • Assist with financial statement and Sarbanes-Oxley audits, including preparation of PBC list items, flux comments, and SOX self-assessment.
  • Perform ad hoc research/analysis and completing special projects as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of general accounting experience, preferably a combination of public accounting and industry
  • Must possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and work effectively both independently as well as in a team environment
  • Able to apply consistent standards while adapting to frequent changes in Company requirements
  • Be flexible and able to work with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word skills are required
  • Experience with Oracle Financials and FAS preferred
