Retoucher (Temporary) - Janie & Jack

What You’ll Do

The Photo Retoucher will serve as the retoucher on all projects for Janie and Jack. This will include retouching (color correction, compositing, BG extensions, etc.), processing files, proofing, ensuring color consistency and quality across all images per product/project

What You'll Bring

  • Print retouching experience and/or knowledge preferred
  • Visual Arts related degree and/or equitable previous experience
  • Experience with Photo Retouching in fashion/e-commerce industry a plus.
  • Comfortable/proficient with using a Wacom tablet and Pen
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud with an emphasis in Photoshop.
  • Experience in Lightroom, Bridge, Capture One Pro
  • Strong written and oral communication, organization and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt and respond well to changing priorities, workflows and direction
  • Mac OS X, Google Sheets, Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of DAM systems and/or related digital asset management and job tracking tools
  • Must be able to make an efficient hair mask
  • Understand masking and path making (the law of intersection with paths and masks)
  • Understand and implement non-destructive retouching methods and layer structure within files to be easily understood by in-house and off-site retouchers
  • Strong and growing knowledge of retouching techniques (skin, fabric, compositing, extensions)
  • Suggest ways to optimize retouching workflow
