Job Description

The Photo Produce will lead the production of Lifestyle shoots across all 3 brands, approximately 20 shoots in total. The role will collaborate with Creative Directors and Vice Presidents to translate brand creative objectives into clear actionable plans to ensure proper implementation of all photo shoots


  • Act as the primary point person through all phases of production for internal photo team and external producers, talent, and agency relationships from concept to execution.
  • Secure estimates, get final sign-off of production budgets from VP, and approve invoices and expenses.
  • Lead weekly photo TB’s with VP, respective Creative Directors and Stylist Director – to address any photo/video needs, concepts, changes, etc.
  • Schedule PRE PRO calls before each shoot (internal creative team, external producer, photographer, and props).
  • Coordinate look builds in LA for Stylist Director (book studio/assistants).
  • Produce and manage Brand laydowns/baby/Janie & Jack key look photo shoots (16 in total).
  • Source and secure all production crew/studio/cast.
  • Negotiate freelance production and talent rates.
  • Manage and track a High Level Photo budget for Finance as well as a detailed photo budget for the VP/GM of Marketing and Brand Creative Services.
  • Facilitate video requests and edits from Marketing with VP, address VP’s needs and dictate feedback to external agency or editor (6 Janie & Jack video edits and 4-5 videos for Gymboree).
  • Create and manage an All Brand photo calendar (updated with changes as needed).
  • Manage Outlook Photo Calendar invites for Internal Creative Team and appropriate business partners (updated with changes as needed).
  • Manage Outlook invites to VP and respective Brand Creative Directors for images selects due date.
  • Create Photo Usage Documents in InDesign after each Photoshoot has been completed and hand off to Manager of Retouching.
  • Manage the distribution of color corrected selects, ads and DM’s to external partners (producers/crew/talent agencies).
  • Process invoices/wire transfers with Finance from outside vendors with the Catalyst system.
  • Partner with Legal to obtain COI’s, external agency agreements, talent agreements as well as usage rights, etc.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years as a photo producer
  • Experience booking talent with an agency, especially children
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage a budget and track timelines and ROI
  • Strong follow up and communications skills
  • Ability to be resourceful when dealing with multiple teams and external vendors
