International Logistics Coordinator (Temporary)

What You’ll Do

The International Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the logistics functions at origin including working with our consolidators, forwarders, and carriers to coordinate on-time delivery within our business goals.


  • Coordinate air and ocean shipments coming from Gymboree’s Asia Hub Distribution Center, coordinate with ocean carriers, air forwarders and 3PL partners to meet on-time delivery and cost goals.
  • Work closely with Domestic International Logistics Coordinator for Inland transportation and final mile markers
  • Manage daily processes and service providers
  • Maintain and manage SOPs
  • Monitor and maintain shipment data. This includes but is not limited to the monitoring and process management container utilization, on time performance and volume forecasting.
  • Cross functional support for the Logistics Team. This includes but is not limited to; vacation coverage, taking on tasks during peak periods, daily assistance in team duties such as data entry and creation/opening of inbound shipment files and supporting subsequent updates.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with those on your team, as well as cross-functionally.
  • Attend cross functional SCM meetings
  • Assist in preparing Logistics reporting and presenting at weekly department meetings

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • 3-5 years’ experience in international logistics operations across all transportation modes
  • SCM software experience is preferred, but not required
  • Strong problem solving skills, appropriate sense of urgency, and able to manage to deadlines
  • Well organized and strong attention to detail
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Works well with a team with proven ability to work well under pressure, in a fast pace work environment - manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change or unexpected events.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office Outlook, Word and Excel
