What You’ll Do

The Facilities Assistant is responsibilities for providing physical and administrative support to all Gymboree Corporate Office Team Members, onsite contractors, and temporary employees, to maximize individual, departmental and corporate productivity in a safe, secure, clean and organized work environment.


  • Monitor and maintain a safe and secure Corporate Office working environment
  • Copy/print paper and supply management; supply inventory maintenance, storage and timely distribution
  • Copier/printer issue response and rectification as applicable
  • Management and distribution of Xerox and Sharp copier/printer toner and related supplies
  • Participate in the receipt, shipment, and distribution of mail, packages, equipment and business materials
  • Conference room and assembly area reconfiguration as required and/or requested by proper authority
  • Monitor and replace refrigerator water filters as required. Monitor inventory and report replenishment requirements
  • Ensure new hire locations are supplied with required furniture and support items prior to inhabitance
  • Assist with Breakroom and kitchenette supply and consumable item inventory, including reorder, as required
  • Participate in the collection, relocation, storage and recycle of all office supplies, furniture, and consumable items
  • Support Facilities Team Members to maintain timely response and appropriate resolution to projects and issues
  • Participate in the coordination and implementation of emergency preparedness programs
  • Participate in internal security processes for maximum protection of Gymboree personnel, information, and assets
  • Provide receptacles and ensure proper sortation and disposal of trash, recycle, compost and electronic waste items
  • Participate in the resolution of Facility department issues
  • Ensure Team Members receive the timely response and appropriate resolution to Facilities related' issues
  • Participate in the coordination and implementation of emergency preparedness programs
  • Participate in internal security processes for maximum protection of Gymboree personnel and assets
  • Assist in the coordination, management and control of corporate vendors assigned to Facilities-related projects

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Related job requirement work experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate a computer and understand basic software programs
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills as well as attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Willingness to devote and apply appropriate and reasonable physical effort to meet job responsibilities
  • Possess appropriate technical and mechanical skills derived from industry experience
  • Project management and organizational skills required
  • Knowledge of company policies and facilities industry procedures and protocol
  • Working knowledge of City, County, State and Federal safety ordinances and regulations applicable to Facilities
  • Ability to identify and solve job-related problems with realistic, cost-effective and timely solutions
  • Must be organized and capable of managing multiple projects and issues simultaneously
  • Punctual compliance with assigned shift days and times. Willingness to work overtime as required
  • Solid understanding of Facilities and Corporate Office security policies and procedures
  • Ability to interface and coordinate functions with multiple business partners and corporate executives
  • Ability to suggest and implement strategic and effective solutions to company needs
  • Ability to train, develop and guide direct reports to effectively manage Facilities operations
