The Apparel Design Director will drive the seasonal trend development, including color palette selection, concept ideas, and key silhouette direction for each delivery. This person will forecast trends in fabric, color, and silhouette for the children's market and will manage line development from initial concept through production phases. This person will be responsible for over-seeing 18-24 distinctly unique product assortments per year. The Apparel Design Director will also be responsible for giving print and artwork direction to the Graphic/Textile Designers for each delivery. This role works closely with the VP, Merchandising to ensure correct product assortment and well-balanced lines. This individual will be responsible for shopping the market for trend information, inspiration, and ways to continue to grow the business, as well as, review competition as it relates to product, quality, and aesthetic.
