The Associate Production Manager will be responsible for the cost, quality and delivery of product for the department. They will own the end to end costing process each season including: pre-costing sub-class analysis, leading at DV/Paso meeting, owning costing meetings, and placement finalization with the Manager. The Associate Production Manager will partner with Quality and Product Safety / Regulatory Compliance teams on concerns balancing design and merchant needs with Company requirements. This role will ensure all deadlines are met and issues resolved to meet in store date for your product and effectively communicate to internal and external partners' status of production, approvals and deliveries. The ideal candidate will maintain core responsibilities with minimal supervision and be accountable for work commitments and outcomes. The Associate Production Manager will identify and proactively engage manager and cross-functional partners when issues arise. S/he will travel to vendors to understand pre-production and production process and gain knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing methods as well as build partnerships with agent and vendors. They will also engage in 2-way product development.

Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years related experience as an apparel production manager in a vertically integrated retail environment is required
  • An understanding of quality fabrics, trims, garment construction, and production lead-times
  • Strong interpersonal, organization and verbal/written skills as well as thorough and accurate communication and follow-up
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks and work with a keen sense of urgency
  • Must have the ability to proactively trouble shoot and problem solve
  • Strong computer skills (Momentis Excel, Microsoft Outlook/Office) are required
