What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for providing analytical and executional support for the CRM, Consumer Insights, Email, Direct Mail, Promotions and Loyalty team within the Marketing department for the Gymboree family of brands (Gymboree, Crazy 8 and Janie and Jack). This position reports into the Sr. CRM Manager as part of the Marketing & Ecommerce team.

Responsibilities include:

Email

  • Oversee and optimize email trigger campaigns strategy to drive customer retention and sales
  • Define learning agenda and design ‘test and learn’ approach to optimize email segmentation across variables such as messaging, layout, frequency, send day/time, personalization, etc.
  • Own execution of email test campaigns, including list builds, QA and deployment
  • Leverage mobile wallet tools in email to increase coupon customer engagement and redemption

Direct Mail

  • Execute seasonal direct mail campaigns and own creative brief, circulation strategy and execution, budget management, and results hindsight and recommendations.

Loyalty Programs

  • Monitor loyalty program performance and work with cross functional partners to drive acquisition and engagement.
  • Own Reward Certificate issuance process including email triggered campaign and reminder campaigns
  • Support program with email and mobile wallet messaging to drive redemption

Reporting & Marketing Operations

  • Maintain, publish , and enhance a broad library of regular (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) reports for use by cross-functional partners that track program-level performance, ROI and contribution to total business
  • Translate customer insights into recommendations for cross functional partners
  • Manage coupon code operations, including timely and accurate delivery of codes to Marketing partners, promotion code set-up, tracking, communication and troubleshooting
  • Manage budget and track invoices to ensure projects are on budget and vendors are paid on time
  • Benchmark email, direct mail, promotion, and loyalty programs against the competitive landscape and surface best/new practices in the industry in order to propel the programs forward. Maintain a library of competitive emails and promotions

Job Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 2-3 years of Email Marketing or CRM experience, preferably for a multichannel retail brand
  • Hands-on experience with CRM database, Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred
  • Proven track record of (1) designing and executing email A/B tests, (2) optimizing email for usability and incremental revenue, and (3) building and executing against customer segmentation strategy
  • Solid understanding of the retail, e-commerce and email marketing industries and KPIs
  • Keen attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and last minute changes
