The Associate Accessories Designer for Janie and Jack will participate in and contribute to seasonal trend development, color and finishing direction, and interpretation of concepts from inspiration and sketches to final product across our range of accessories categories. This person will be responsible for creating accessories BOM’s and following up on all product updates. The role will participate in fittings and help with material development. The Associate Designer will collaborate with the lead designer, merchandising and production team and assist in managing line development from initial concept through production. The Associate Designer needs to possess strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and have an eye for details. This person must have the ability to analyze market trends and shop the competition and for inspiration.

Job Requirements

• BA/BS Degree or equivalent work/industry experience
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accessories design preferred
• Prior experience working with accessories or leather is preferred
• Must enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong Mac experience required, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
